Ο Nietzsche radically changed the course of Western Philosophy but also of thought at a global level in general. It is a thinker who substitutes the ideal of knowledge for the discovery of the true, interpretation and evaluation.
However, Nietzsche's attitude to the most basic question of Metaphysics - whether there is a First Principle of Things - is negative! For the German philosopher, there is no transcendent supreme being and therefore no God. God is dead, he announces, but not with triumphant nihilistic euphoria.
As the years go by, the death of God becomes more and more a matter between God and man. It is an event that is still waiting for its meaning and value.
With the end of the abstract God, our metaphysical alertness is linked to the affirmation of the supremacy of the power of the infinite.
But what happens to traditional Metaphysics and what is the role of the unconscious when counteractive forces claiming to pass for "will" roll further and further into the abyss of nothingness in a world increasingly stripped of values, divine or even human?
